Key Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate and relevant day-to-day advice to the company and various internal departments on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector and their products, with a focus on sustainability, data protection, consumer protection, corporate and real estate aspects, but also various regulatory matters.
- Provide counsel and advice to cross-functional stakeholders and senior management on a broad range of matters related to new initiatives or innovative projects to be launched by the company.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements, working closely with the Procurement department.
- Manage and drive strategy on pre-litigation and litigation matters (e.g. claims against suppliers), but also represent act like legal advisor on pre-crisis and crisis situations.
- Collaborate with legal counsels/directors from group level/other countries and participate in working groups designed to boost learning together.
- Act like working partner for Marketing department in preparing promotional campaigns and all sorts of marketing initiatives in the market.
- Participate in external working streams and forums, such as working with representative associations in the industry.
- Act like contact legal person for three plants, which besides the usual production activity, get involved in investments projects.
- Work closely on public affairs matters, focusing on communication, relationship with other stakeholders on the market and relationship with public authorities.
- Staying up to date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the business and specific industry.
Are these your secret ingredients?
- 7+ years of experience, member of the Romanian Bar
- Experience on a various of legal fields: consumer protection, corporate law, sustainability, real estate, regulatory matters.
- Experience coordinating and driving large-scale projects to completion
- Excellent negotiating and drafting skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business.
- The ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in terms that non-legal colleagues can understand.
- Organized and self-directed
- Great leadership and teamwork skills and willingness to take on new responsibilities
- Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment and handling and prioritizing multiple projects
